The singer has teamed up with the designers to create and sell a unique line of clothing, shoes and accessories. The collection includes his signature style for men and women along with a selection of leather-look pieces. When Bruno Mars’ father spoke out about his son’s fame and fashion endorsement deals he said “It’s kind of funny, but after he won that Grammy, the first thing he wanted to do was show me some money from all the deals. I think he spent about $50 on me”. This past week Mars told us about his success and his plans for the summer.
“I recently partnered with Bass, Top Man and The Huntsman to create a new collection of men’s and women’s clothing. I have been working on this collection for the last couple of years, with a huge amount of creative input from my stylist myself who is also my personal shopper. We have looked at hundreds of coats, pants and shirts to pick out the best ones to put into this collection.
“I have been working on a line of women’s clothing with Kanye West and ‘Aftermath’ for the last couple of months. I designed a range of leather pants and accessories to add to this new collection. It has been very exciting to work with two people who are both so talented, but who also share my passion for fashion. I started designing clothes when I was 14 and am really proud that I can bring some of my ideas to life.
“I also have a collection of shoes which I will be releasing in a few weeks. I have tried to add some of my own ideas and style to the shoe collection along with the help of my personal shopper and stylist. I am really excited about this new line.” – Bruno Mars (Source: Bruno Mars)
The 4 Most Iconic Moments From the Fashion Documentary
Celebrity stylists, Yael and Jacob Pincus, put his style together for the press and brought a collection that was comfortable and versatile. The stylists were able to mash up the designer’s vintage shirts with leather, suede and denim in a way that made them wearable by any fashion-conscious person.
Stylist, Yael Pincus: “At the end of the day I think style is who we are. I see all my students like this, but their style is reflective of what they feel comfortable with. It’s a combination of what you love to wear and feel like yourself in your own skin. The pair that was chosen came together as a result of being very genuine and true to oneself.”
The duo takes pride in creating looks that anybody can pull off while still looking sharp. The models were able to wear the looks with both ease and confidence while still feeling like they can be taken anywhere. With the help of celebrity stylist and friend, the crew is able to put together looks that are right on trend while at the same time can allow any woman to feel comfortable being herself. Bruno himself was very pleased with how the women looked in his collection.
“I wanted those looks to be both feminine and hip and put together. I wanted the clothes for them to feel like us and not so trendy or too expensive. I love that they all look really comfortable like that you would see out of a small town.”
5 Ways Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak Are Reinventing Marketing in 2018 & Beyond
Bruno Mars is one of the most famous musicians of the 21st century. He performed at the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Performance and had a Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 song “That’s What I Like” in 2017, winning his first Grammy Award for Record of the Year. However, it wasn’t always like this. Even at the height of his popularity, Mars was described as a “musical chameleon” by Rolling Stone and consistently reinvented his image and sound.
While Mars is widely known for disco, funk and soul – what he’s actually famous for are astute reinventions that reposition his music in popular culture. In fact, Mars is one of the best recent examples for what marketing experts call “repositioning. It refers to the process of repositioning a concept within a brand portfolio, in order to attract target audiences by focusing on new strengths.
