-Giant Wolf Plops down beside Her What Should She do?

A brave, ferocious wolf slowly came into view as the sun began to set. It was massive and intimidating in every sense of the word. Its size made her heart race faster than normal and she held back a scream as she watched it sniff around its surroundings with curiosity. It darted its head every now and again when it heard a soft giggle or a tiny whisper from the nearby bushes. It raised its head to the sky and let out a menacing growl that sent shivers down her spine.
`The sound was so loud and strong that it shook the bushes she was hiding behind, almost making her lose her balance. Her eyes widened in fright as she caught a glimpse of the wolf leaping towards her before it stopped dead in its tracks. Its seemingly lifeless body began to shake with panic as it stared at something or someone behind her with snarling anger. She shuffled forward very, very slowly until she felt something touch her back.
“Boo.” The unexpected voice sent her heart racing even faster as she let out a small gasp. She turned her head to see that something had crept up on the wolf and was now leisurely trying to scare it away with its tiny frame. The wolf took a step back in fear and eyed the little creature with uncertainty in confusion.

-What Are the Signs of an Animal Attack?

The wolf pawed at the soft earth upon which its paw was placed. Its fur was coarse and it had a scruffy look to it that made her think of an old dog. More than its appearance, though, she was struck by the fact that this wolf appeared to be a complete stranger. There was no sign of any pack markings like she had seen in her many journeys alongside other wolves. Nor did this particular wolf have a bright and friendly look to it as more domesticated animals often possessed. This animal was fearless and had a thirst for blood, as all animals do, though this wolf in particular had a certain look to it that suggested it would not back down from a fight. She had no doubt that if she ran from it, the beast would chase her down and take a chunk out of her hide.
The wolf sat down and flopped against the ground with its tongue lolling out. It was looking up at her, watching her intently with no sign of the kind of fear it should have had towards a human. Instead, it was amused by what was happening to it, and she got the impression that it had chosen to act this way as some sort of joke. She knew wolves, and she knew that if this beast had been its pack, it would have ran towards her as a defender. This was a wild animal that had clearly not been raised in captivity.

-How to Rescue Someone from an Animal Attack

She thought about the wolf. It was an interloper, and an outsider. That meant it had to be attacked and isolated from the pack for its own good. She watched it as it moved closer to her, nearly making eye contact with her already. She knew what she had to do. She had no choice, not with the lives of so many dependent on her decisions. She was the alpha of this pack, and rightfully so. A wolf’s eyes were always on her.
She was an alpha. She was a leader of the pack that she called home. She had only moved here a year ago, but those who saw her knew what she was immediately. That’s why they would follow her anywhere, especially into the forest to hunt for food, or back home where safety and comfort awaited them all. She could trust them to follow her strength and power, because she had never failed at protecting them, even if it meant risking everything for their sakes.

-What Should You Do When You’re Attacked by Wild Animals?

She stood, and the wolf stopped its advance and stared at her. She did not take her eyes off of it, nor did she make any sudden movements. When she went to attack it, she would leap at each of its sides with enough force to knock it off balance. Then she would nip at its jugular until the animal fell to the ground, lifeless. That was the plan. The execution of it, however, turned out to be more difficult than she had originally thought. She was so close to its throat, but it was the size of a small car. Its weight was too great. She had never been in this kind of situation before; she did not know what to do at that moment.
In her adventures that year, she had met many wolves. The first time she saw one of them, she thought that they were dogs with wolf heads. That was the first time she had encountered a wild animal.
Wild animals were extremely rare in the city, so she did not have much experience with them. Up until that moment, she had never experienced anything like this. Actually, she just became an adventurer from living in the city all of her life and thought that wild animals would be at a safer distance than cars on the road as they were way smaller, but as it turns out, far from how things were in reality.

She watched the wolf, which kept its position. She started to move her body towards it, and it did the same in return. It was almost as if they were mirroring each other’s movements. She stopped after a while and they both did the same. The wolf was waiting for her to make a move, she knew that much, and she had to admit that she was waiting for the same thing. She just needed to-
She looked up at the wolf and changed her mind. She was going to move, she knew that much. The wolf’s tail wagged. She smiled. The wolf panted as if it were panting in anticipation of something. She could see it in its eyes, the intelligent bright ones that reminded her of a dog’s eyes on a rare occasion, she wouldn’t say they were exactly like a dog’s but they were like them. She placed her hand on its head. The wolf’s tail wagged even more.
“What’s your name?” she asked, smiling before putting a hand on the wolf’s head.
The wolf looked at her with the same smile before turning to look at her and then sniffed her fingers. It licked them, making them wet with saliva. She smiled and closed her eyes for a brief moment, feeling blissfully happy for once since she was back in this world.
