Fate Domestic Nomination Would be a Good Choice For Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has a new nominee for president. Merrick Garland, who is the chief of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. Garland is replacing Scalia, the deceased conservative justice. President Obama even said that Garland would be a “wise choice” and would “bring his trademark humility, collegiality and thoughtfulness” to the position. Garland is known for being very well respected across the aisle. It seems that he would be a great addition to the Supreme Court.
Garland is currently the chief judge at the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. He also has spent a lot of time in government and even clerked for Justice William Brennan, who was a liberal Supreme Court justice. Judge Garland also served as a prosecutor in three separate U.S. Attorney offices and he was appointed in 1997 to his current position.

Telling the Alt-Right: The Fate of Justice Merrick Garland –

The alt-right is an American right-wing movement that was formed by a group of internet trolls. The term “alt-right” is short for “alternative right”, which is a euphemism for white supremacists. The group of internet trolls has been spreading disinformation and outright lies about the Supreme Court in order to influence the election. One thing they have been doing is posting false information about Merrick Garland, who is currently President Obama’s nominee to replace deceased conservative Justice Antonin Scalia. Garland is a moderate and a very well-respected jurist by both Democrats and Republicans. Something that the alt-right has been spreading is that Garland is a radical. They are attempting to rally support for President Trump’s potential pick of Judge Neil Gorsuch, who was chosen to replace Scalia by the Republican Senate. One thing they have been posting is images of Garland’s high court opinions, which were made in the eighties and nineties, with captions claiming he was a “cop killer”. This contradicts what he has actually done in court. He was a moderate judge who was nominated by a moderate president. He is the farthest from being a radical, like the alt-right claims he is.
At one point, on March 16 at 7:00 p.m EST, the president will be giving a speech to introduce Judge Gorsuch and explain why he is qualified to replace Scalia. The speech will be broadcasted on Fox News Channel and streamed online at Huffington Post . I encourage everyone to watch the speech and share it with anyone else who may want to listen.
Before the speech, I think it would be a good idea to tweet directly at the alt-right and challenge whatever they may say. I created an account on Twitter called @AltRight_Facts . I didn’t want to give them a chance to form any legitimate accounts. I’ll be using this account on March 16, so please follow me if you want to see what happens.

How the White Supremacist Movement Refuses to Go Away

The alt-right is an American right-wing group that has been growing rapidly since the rise of Donald Trump. Their main goal is to create a white homeland. The movement uses “meme magic” to spread misinformation and outright lies to get their message across. One thing they have been doing is using the recent death of Justice Scalia as a rallying point in order to get people to support Trump’s nominee, who is supposed to be a conservative. They are using the recent death of Scalia to get people to call for President Obama, a liberal, to not appoint anyone until after the election. One thing they have been posting recently is an image of Chief Judge Merrick Garland, with the caption saying that he is a “cop killer,” which of course isn’t true. Their ultimate goal is to get more people on the email lists for their websites, so that they can continue their lies and misinformation. This group of people use “meme magic” to push a white nationalist agenda which aims to create a white homeland and eventually all white nations. They will do anything they can to gain support or get rid of support for certain things, in hopes that one day they will finally be able to achieve their goal.

Why Hasn’t the Alt-Right Been Able to Get Its Way on the Supreme Court Yet?

They have been unable to stop Garland’s nomination due to the fact that he is highly respected across the aisle, which has prevented his confirmation. This is one reason why they are making false claims about him. Another thing they are doing is slander him by saying things like claiming he is a “cop killer”. This is another way that the alt-right uses to try and sway people, by getting them upset about someone who doesn’t deserve it. They are also repeating lies about Merrick Garland, who they claim is a “cop killer”. Well, according to Garland’s former law partner, he was never convicted of that. The alt-right is trying to sway the election by spreading misinformation.
Merrick Garland is an American lawyer and judge who is currently the Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
