How Fox News is Attacking Democracy and What’s at Stake
In recent weeks, Fox News has been making a big deal of how it’s the only channel in the US to offer unbiased and “real” news. This narrative that Fox is the only network that isn’t biased has been repeated so many times, people are starting to believe it themselves. So what’s really going on? Fox news isn’t really offering unbiased news at all. It’s just that their bias has come out from under the covers. They are pretending to be unbiased, but they’re just coming out with the rest of their bias for everyone to see. Fox News is not just wrong, or biased. It’s actually attacking democracy and the public’s right to know what their government is doing, something that our founders explicitly stated was so important they put it in the First Amendment.
Unfortunately, in recent years many people have accepted the idea of Fox being a “fair” news channel. But the very real fact is that they are not fair or balanced at all – and in fact they are outright lying to viewers by pretending to be unbiased. They also have a history of going out of their way to attack instances of real journalism and fair news sources. They have attacked the New York Times, CBS and many other real news channels. But nobody on Fox is ever punished for doing this, a stark contrast to the way those in poor standing with Fox are treated
The “Real” Reason Why the Murdochs Weren’t Fired After All the Scandals
OK, so Fox isn’t really the only channel that gives unbiased news. All of the other networks have been doing it from time immemorial. So why are they pretending to be unbiased? Because the Murdochs own nearly all of these channels, and they’re suckers for having their faces plastered on media every day. If a channel doesn’t have people as good as Rupert Murdoch at the top then it’s doomed. The day his sons took over BSkyB, they lied to the shareholders and everyone thought they’d all be fired after their many scandals unfolded, but no, no one was fired. Why? Because the Murdochs ran Fox News like a dictatorship, and they were old enough to take over. Right now Fox News is the only place where people would tolerate their behavior. If a Fox News host says something outrageous, the other networks fire them, but on Fox they can go from one too many scandals to a plethora of fake news stories about Hillary Clinton and 9/11 being staged. That’s why it’s not the Murdochs’ faults that other channels are biased, it’s the way things have always been. They just have no idea how people think nowadays.

The big question: Why was no one fired? Fox News is the only place where people are willing to tolerate their behaviors. If other networks had an employee doing the same thing, they would fire them and never let them on air again. The Murdochs knew this and didn’t allow anyone in the network who they felt they couldn’t control. Fox News is the only place where they could get away with it. The Murdochs have to have complete control because they are financial backers of many news outlets, and they own all the channels doing the news.
How Fox News Became a Tool of Trump’s War With Reality – A Brief History of Fox News Strategizing Against Democrats & Liberals in America
FOX News was founded by Republican media mogul Rupert Murdoch in 1996. Since then, it has been the Republican party’s propaganda network, a network so biased and extreme that it is even too partisan for other Republicans. From a look at their key employees and executives, their anchors, hosts and contributors, it becomes clear that FOX News caters to the most extreme wings of the Republican party. The network was founded by Rupert Murdoch, who is a conservative billionaire. And it employs a lot of conservatives, from Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity (both raging conservatives) to Neil Cavuto and Brit Hume (who are more moderate). Also, Fox has employed a lot of former politicians, such as Newt Gingrich and Tom DeLay. Its former CEO was Roger Ailes, who is the network’s best-known figure. Ailes has been accused by multiple women of sexually harassing them, but he’s never been charged with a crime.
So far we have only covered the Conservative times that Fox invests in, namely the hard right: Fox News employees and hosts are uniformly insane. But let’s say you want to know what the channel does when it isn’t catering to the crazies. Well, I present to you: A Brief History of Fox News Strategizing Against Democrats & Liberals in America.
During the election campaigns of 2008 and 2012 Fox News’ prime time hosts repeatedly advocated violence against Democratic politicians, regularly mocked Mrs. Clinton while she was running for president, and even shewed sympathy for fringe groups like the violent militia movement that had targeted Mrs. Clinton.
The Role of Murdoch-owned Media in Preserving American Democracy by Fighting Fake News on Both Sides
Murdoch is a great friend of Donald Trump. He gave Trump a ton of money and coverage during the campaign, as well as in his transition and other dealings with the new Trump administration. In this way, Murdoch has effectively become a tool for Trump’s war on democracy. A lot of people have argued that Murdoch has been an accomplice to all this because he is the head owner of Fox News, but I don’t think that’s true. I think Murdoch lost his actual libertarian ideology when he became a Republican, and now he’s using Fox News as a tool for Trump. The fact that Fox News is a propaganda network, not something like the BBC made all of their propaganda much more effective and dangerous. When you have only “fake news” on one side, then everyone starts to believe it to be real. We might have believed in fake news if we only had “fake news” on one side. But we have both “fake news” and actual truth on both sides, so what do we believe?
They started the war in Syria and they created the refugee crisis of millions of people from Syria; they tried to blame Obama for these things.
When Trump was running for president, he was promising to defeat ISIS, but then he ended up expanding ground troops into Syria as well as more airstrikes. And now we have thousands of ground troops in Iraq and Syria and more bombings, more casualties our own soldiers. Trump was saying he was going to defeat ISIS, but he’s now expanding it and he’s been profiting from it. [Trump] decided to bomb Syria in response to the chemical attack, but actually the war has been started by Murdoch.
Their biggest thing they’ve done is give millions of dollars to Trump and use Fox News as a tool to keep him in power, in addition to their lobbying empire. So, Murdoch’s empire is a major player in the Syrian war. They are making money from the refugee crisis, too.
