Concept & Advantages of Music Video Entrepreneurship
A music video is a short film or video that accompanies a complete piece of music. Some videos are made specifically to accompany the released piece of music, while others are created to be used as the artist’s debut visual representation, or in some cases material that is not used in any form of an album. The visual representation of a complete piece of music may take the form of a music video or some may appear as clips from a full-length production. Most music videos share the same structure and are made up of one continuous shot, an alternative to standard commercial pop videos which now use multiple camera angles. The average length for a music video is now about three minutes, but this may be anywhere from one to six minutes.
Music videos have been around since the dawn of MTV and the concept has always been simple – a music video helps promote an artist’s song. Music video production has a huge range in budget, depending on where you are located in North America, Europe or Asia. The costs also depend greatly on whether you are creating a full-length documentary, a short concert scene or a simple concept treatment with no live footage involved.
