What are the Fashion Trends at Cannes?

As every fashionista knows, at any given moment, one year or another a particular design movement comes into fashion and then disappears. Film festival is no exception from this rule. The history of film can be traced to the eighth century when in the process of developing photography people have tried to use a camera obscura for this purpose. It was in 1889 when the first film was produced as a fine art, which only developed into a technology. In this century, several factors have affected fashion: for example, technological innovation, a new medium emerges and is being used by millions of people simultaneously; in the same way that some trends become popular among fans and then slowly fade out of fashion. There is a great variety of trends or fashion waves at Cannes this year, which is obviously the fruit of global influence. The aim of this article is to reveal the Cannes fashion trends, which will take place and where they are likely to be used in the nearest future. If you do not have time for more, here are ten fashion trends that will be found at Cannes this year:
1) Ball gowns galore and other cannes
The ball gowns have been known for many years and had reached the peak of popularity in 2012 . Although the cost of ladies’ dresses are now significantly lower than before and a lot of designers have started to produce affordable ball gowns, most fashionistas will still be seen wearing expensive ball gowns. The French government has also supported the production of traditional French and Italian ball gowns, which can be worn for different occasions. The ball gowns are expected to be seen at various film events, like the event of ‘InStyle’. So far, no other cannes have featured these dresses.
2) Colourful Haute Couture

Cannes Film Festival is an important event for fashion not only of the world elite. And, of course, it goes without saying that they want to look absolutely perfect while walking down the red carpet. However, every year there are some fashion trends which are universally recognized and eagerly adopted by the fashion public. Let’s see, for example, the five must-have red carpet trends for Cannes 2015, as seen on the red carpet of stars all over the world…
Over the past few years, on one hand, Lady Gaga has become a fashion icon and no one will ever be able to compete with her style. She has become famous by dressing up many different ways and appearing on many different occasions in different outfits. One can only look at her outfits and simply marvel at the unique creativity of this diva of fashion and entertainment.
On the other hand, it must be said that Lady Gaga is not a trendsetter. She only chooses and wears the most fashionable dresses which are already prepared as trends by the designers of popular fashion houses.

What to Wear at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival

The 71st edition of the Cannes Film Festival will be held from 8 to 19 May 2018. This year one can expect a number of world premieres, as well as new, interesting movie trailers and celebrities. For this reason, it is important to pay attention to what is popular in fashion right now so that you do not fall behind others, but at the same time do not look like a fool. It’s all about the right proportions and simplicity.
Cannes is known as a place where one can wear elegant and expensive evening gowns, so if you decided to visit Cannes this year, you will definitely have to dress in a manner befitting the occasion. You do not need an amazing outfit that cost thousands of dollars – just a couple of simple pieces of clothing and some minor changes in makeup are all that is necessary.

Which Designer Has a Strong Look at this Year’s Festivities?

One of the main, most prestigious awards of the Cannes Film Festival is the Palme d’Or. The rules say that in order to be eligible for consideration a movie must be presented at some point during the festival. However, unlike most events, this is not necessarily a rule. It’s all about timing and when you can screen your film and thus have an opportunity to be nominated in one of the most prestigious awards.
This year’s Palme d’Or is one of the most hotly contested of what has been a strong competition. There were two frontrunners while the last two weeks have delivered several surprises. “The Tree of Life” was a front-runner throughout the festival, but now it has lost a lot of steam and thus fell off the list. “The Queen” had been a strong contender, but now that it has failed to receive any recognition (yet) for its US release, it is also out of contention.
This is a great list but it also means we still have a long way to go to figure out the winners. I’d like to discuss some of the films that have been competing around this time, as well as the films that haven’t screened yet, but could make an impact in the near future. So here goes:
