Introduction: What is Yuri on Ice and Why Should I Watch It?

Yuri on Ice (or Yuri Kuma Arashi) is a sports anime created by the same team who made “Yuru Yuri” in 2012. It has been adapted into manga, novels, and fan-games. The series centers around twelve year old Victor Nikiforov, better known as Yuri on Ice. Victor is a professional figure skater from Russia who is determined to become the best in the world at his sport and prove that women are superior at skating. There are three seasons of “Yuri on Ice”, titled Yuri!!! on Ice, and each contains three episodes. The series begins with Victor taking part in a national competition to show that he can compete with the boys. He has only been skating for a year, so this is his first time taking part in a competition. He uses ice dance as his partner, but their performance is outperformed by the team from Japan. In the competition, he also teams up with fellow Russian figure skater, Yuri Plisetsky. The series follows Victor’s journey as he competes in different competitions and meets various characters in the world of figure skating.
I have never watched “Yuru Yuri” so I can only base my opinion on “Yuri on Ice”. The show is cute and light-hearted, but does have some serious aspects, such as mental health. It shows the hardships of figure skating and the emotional rollercoaster that comes with it. The creators have admitted to lifting some of the content from real life stories.

Who Is Your Yuri On Ice?

Yuri on Ice is about figuring out who you want to be. Although Victor is at the age where he should be going to university, he decides he wants to become the best in figure skating, so he drops out of high school and moves to Russia so that he can attend ICE Academy. He does not know how long the journey will take to become the best, but he is determined to do whatever it takes until he reaches his goal. Throughout the series, Victor learns more about himself and what is important in life. He learns how to be a good role model for his students and a good friend to Makkachin (a poodle he adopted from the local animal shelter), and he realizes that countries are not without their problems, even if they do not seem like it at first. He is also determined to be there for his family and friends by understanding their struggles with the loss of his mother.

What are the Best Yuri On Ice Fan-Made Outfits for Anime Focus Groups and Ranking Threads?

This is my first time writing a Yuri on Ice article. I’ve seen the show, but I’ve never really thought about it before. The show is beautiful and full of symbolism and unique characters that are easy to get lost in. The main character, Victor Nikiforov, is an 18 year old young man—who wants to be a professional figure skater—who goes on an adventure through Russia to attend ICE Academy so he can become a world-class figure skater. Victor first goes to Japan to compete in a national competition, where he meets Yuri Plisetsky, aka Yurio. Plisetsky is very rude and disrespectful towards Victor, but Victor is kind and forgiving towards him. Even though the friendly interactions between Victor and Plisetsky are there for the audience to see, it does not stop other characters from coming into the picture. After their interaction, Victor goes on an adventure to Russia to compete in the Grand Prix Series. He is invited to perform with six different orchestras during his stay in Russia, and he meets multiple characters who will come into play during his stay in Russia.
While I was watching this show, I noticed that some of the costumes were very different than others, and I decided to rank them. Some of the costumes are very similar concepts; however, they are made and worn differently. For some of the costumes, I put “each” with a number so it would be more clear. For example, “Yuri and Victor (1)” means that I think that this is authentic representation of them as a couple in figure skating, but that their relationship may not be the best representation to the general audience because they are very similar in many ways. A few examples of costumes are:

How to Watch Yuri On Ice in the US without Breaking the Law?

Yuri on Ice is an anime that airs in Japan, but it is not yet available for streaming in the United States. There are a few ways to either watch the show with subtitles or watch the show without them. The easiest way, and safest way, is to purchase a digital copy of the series. This method will cost you less than $10, but will offer you disadvantages such as only showing one episode per day and not having access to any past episodes. The next option is to purchase a DVD or Blu-ray set. This will cost you more money and take more time, but you will be able to watch the show with English subtitles and an English dub. The third option is to stream the show on Hulu or Netflix. Both services allow for viewers to watch episodes an hour after they air in Japan and both services offer a wide selection of anime series that are not available in the United States.
If you want to avoid legal trouble, then purchasing a DVD/Blu-Ray set or streaming the show on Hulu is the best way to watch. However, if you want to watch Yuri On Ice with English subs and an English dub, then purchasing a DVD/Blu-Ray is not the best way to do it. Streams are legal on both services but are less safe than buying a physical copy. You can watch Yuri On Ice on Netflix to watch it in English with English subs.

Conclusion: Who Do You Want to Be Your Yuri On Ice?

My first Yuri on Ice article was about Victor Nikiforov, also known as Yuri on Ice. I thought that this would be a good topic to write about because Victor is one of the most relatable characters in anime. I wanted to go through his character development and see what traits he has that others have and which ones he doesn’t. I believe that the reason others cannot relate to Victor is because of his age and his wish to be the best. Everyone can relate to not wanting to go to school, but very few want to become a professional figure skater. Although I believe Victor is relatable, I don’t necessarily think that he is a good role model for people who want to be the best. [NOTE: I will reference the Japanese name for Victor in this article, because in English he is not that important.]
Over all Victor is a very nice character and I think that he is a good actor to go for; however, it would be better for him to stop being so nice and one-dimensional. In my opinion his personality would be better if he gave off a more mature but friendly nature. This might be difficult because in the beginning of the series he was described as being “practically pure.” [NOTE: His English name is Victor Nikiforov.] If he wants to be the best, he needs to stop being so nice and one-dimensional.
I think that the character Yurio is a lot more relatable and more interesting than Victor. I also believe that Yurio’s character is better developed than Victor’s. Throughout the series Yurio’s personality has grown and his relationship with others has gotten weaker, while Victor’s character stays the same.
